I despise hackers... I really really do. Our site was hacked but thankfully I had backed up the entire website not a day or two prior to the attack.... so that means. HA! We're back! This site has been up just a wee bit over 2 years. Of course it isn't the first site that we had, this was a revamped and redone one from previous versions but it just sorta hit me how time slips by before even realizing it. I guess I'm rambling on and thoughtful. Don't mind me really I've been ill so that explains it. I'm going to be reworking parts of the site I think, and updating. Who knows... I'm not making promises cuz those can be broken horribly but this site has gone a long time without anything done to it. I have to upgrade the core program to a new version, so there might be a lil downtime when I do that. I've also noticed that my host has been rather shoddy of late. Hopefully that will even out or I'll be looking for a new web host. Not wanting to do that.... at.... all. Take care and wishing all well. On April 29th in the A.M. there might be some downtime, and it is going to take a bit of time for the DNS to update. It's sort of a pain but normal. Now onto part two! Slaves write…. A lot. Generally speaking what a slave does doesn’t change a whole lot from day to day. You enter a room a certain way, you serve a certain way, you move across the room, and if you’re lucky you will be asked to do something a little out of the ordinary like positions, or getting something besides a paga, or black wine. Kajira challenge: Descriptive Words; Beginning As slaves online your being is enveloped in the use of descriptive words or phrases to make a picture of your actions, reactions, and feelings for any who may be present. New slaves are often overwhelmed with and scared of all of the new information that must be learned, either about Gor or their owners in general. Description while it can be long or short is a part of almost everything you do and can be just as intimidating. As part of the kajira challenge a series of activities using description and descriptive words will be covered over time. Kajira Challenge: A topic that is raised as a question or research project for the week, either from the books of Gor, Gorean in nature, or on Gorean slavery. Those kajira that feel up to the task are welcome to contribute on a weekly basis to the discussions held, and to offer up suggestions for future challenges. This idea has evolved from past experience, seeing slaves post weekly discussion or learning posts. Not having seen anything in awhile of this nature, even if for this house/site it is a welcome diversion for those wishing to participate. (Haven't ascertained if we will be offering occasional prizes for participants) Quizzes and Challenges: Upcoming area of the site that will offer quizzes and questionaires to be submitted or completed by users of the site. Those that feel up to the challenge of working on them or sending one in are greatly encouraged. The link to the left for registered users labeled "GorWiki Info Center" is now the new information section. The main difference between this and most modules is the ability for people to add information. Users may add pages, or edit pages that are already there (with admin. approval). Gorean information, book information, essays, role-play helps, etc are all welcome. The layout is also easier for people to find information than the old Knowledge Base.
