1.1: Why another reference area??

Over the years since having found the books of Gor there have been a few constants.

1. That everyone sees Gor differently

2. That websites with some very valuable information come and go quickly due to people giving up, losing their domains, or having them wiped clean on free servers.

3. That everyone and their brother wants to have their own reference area for Gorean information.

4. That each and every one of them think that they are right. (and lots aren't)

5. Due to people stealing each others content, many sites are being locked up behind passwords or whatever.

So why did I feel that I needed some sort of Gorean info area?

Suppose I fall under number 3 to a degree. I hate surfing all over 6 different websites for that one lil piece of information that I knew I read somewhere... and I do not have the time to look through every single book. So as I learn, grow, study and call myself a Gorean I take notes. Well notes are now becoming something of a reference area so I can find what I need, when I need it.

It's a work in progress, it probably always will be.

I also like to have little info pieces to help people 'see' Gor. For instance the article on Baths, the diagrams, pictures, and descriptions go beyond a few quotes.

I know that many pages are quotes... and there are a million sites that have that sort of thing.

There are also opinion pieces, articles on conduct, and other things if you wade through enough of it. As well as the fact that this is a community effort. Wiki can be added to by any user, so it makes it that much better to work with.

There are links to others sites for reference as well.

The final reason that there is a reference area for my house?

Because it pleases me to have one.
